Commercial Damper Questions:
Don’t worry if you don’t have all the info, we can do a preliminary quote if we get some basic information:
1. Motor and voltage, 3 wire or 2 wire? 24vac or 110vac? Open close operation or 4 to 20ma or 2 to 10 volts DC modulated?
2. Application: What will it be doing? We may have ideas…
3. Parallel or opposed blade? Opposed blade for most applications unless outside location where blades need to shed rain.
4. Blade and Jamb seals for ultra low leakage?
5. Motor location: Long side, short side or internal mount? (long side width N/A)
6. Need an end plate to slide damper into duct? (IT option)
7. Size: width = ? x Height = ? Use width as the first number, height as the second. Motor can only go on the height side, or as an internal mount. Motor cannot go on width side (i.e. bottom mount).
8. Should we build to actual OD dimensions above, or undersize 1/4 inch in both dimensions so it will fit in the duct easier?
9. How soon do you need the part? Commercial dampers can take two weeks to build, but reasonable expedite services are available.
